Bernard Wheelahan Latin American Scholarship

Through the generosity of Pacific-Hydro Pty Ltd a scholarship has been established in perpetuity to assist a student with costs associated with travel to and within Latin America for the purposes of undertaking fieldwork, or an exchange or internship.

Mr Bernard Wheelahan chaired the Council on Australia-Latin America Relations from its inception in 2001 until 2010. He has had extensive business experience in Latin America and has been a major force in strengthening ties between Australia and the region.

Who can apply?

ANU undergraduate, MA, and PhD students who meet the eligibility criteria and are planning to travel to Latin America for study abroad or fieldwork.

2023 Round

Deadline: 31 August 2023

**NOTE: for the 2023 round, funds must be acquitted in 2023 but travel can take place in S2 2023 or S1 2024

Please familiarise yourself with the funding guidelines before you complete the application form.
